Scripture: Zechariah 4:6-9, Ezra 2:2, Ezra 5:2, Ezra 6:14-15, Matthew 17:20
Zerubbabel was one of the Jewish leaders who retuned from the captivity of the exiles (Ezra 2:2). He and others set out to rebuild the Alter of the Lord (Ezra 5:2-4) and were faced with great opposition from the people around them. It was a mountain that looked insurmountable. But the word of the Lord came to Zerubbabbel in Zechariah 4:7, what are you, O mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. According to the dictionary, a mountain is a natural elevation of the earth’s surface having considerable mass, generally steep sides, and a height greater than that of a hill. A mountain is also defined as a huge quantity. If what you are going through now seems so big, and in the natural impossible to overcome, then it must be a mountain. If you find yourself easily worn out and falling down after each attempt at moving forward, then you must be facing a mountain. Your mountain may be an ailment or a lack in one area of your life. Anything that has elevated itself and bent on stopping you from getting to the other side of victory is a mountain and must be dealt with. Even thou you don’t have the power to confront it by yourself, the good news is that you serve a God who can move and make plain any mountain. Before Zerubbabbel the mountain was leveled and the Temple of the Lord was completed (Ezra 6:14-15). Believe God to level your mountain too as you pray the following prayers. I declare to you in the name of Jesus Christ, before you that mountain must become level ground. Hallelujah!
Instruction: Take time to worship the living God and thank Him for His power and ability to do anything. Ask Him to strengthen your faith as you pray. Matthew 17:20 says, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.
